HEC is marching ahead. It has registered the highest ever sale of Rs 681.29 crore in 2010-11. We are not only consistently increasing our turnover every year but also earning profits for the last five years. We could do it through the hard work and dedicated commitment of each and every employee of the corporation.
I am happy to share that HEC has added a new dimension in its Project handling capability by entering into washery business. HEC bagged an order in June'10 for 5 Mtpa Madhuban Washery Project, BCCL, Dhanbad. HEC is focused to expand its business domain. We have considerably improved our delivery which has enabled us to book prestigious orders like two numbers of Draglines for Coal India, CNC Deep Hole Boring Machine for Ordnance Factory, good numbers of Heavy Duty EOT cranes for Steel sector, to mention a few.
HEC has continued to receive accolades in various forums. HEC was awarded the "INS Industrial Excellence award" on 4th January 2010 for its significant contribution in the nuclear field. The Board for Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises (BRPSE) has bestowed on HEC with "BRPSE Turnaround Award 2010" on 10th March, 2011 for turning around and earning profits on a sustainable basis. HEC was conferred with the "Performance Excellence Award 2010" for its outstanding contribution to the Industry by the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) at the 15th CEOs Conference held at Goa from 16th to 18th May 2011.
I am grateful to our valued customers and stakeholders for believing in us, especially during our tough times. We are constantly making efforts to exceed the expectations of our esteemed customers by offering the best of our products and services.
I have absolute faith in my HEC team and I am sure every one of us will not leave any stone unturned to achieve our common goal of "GROWTH & PROSPERITY". We aspire to become a Rs 3000 crore company in next five years.
I would like to end my message by quoting Dr. Abdul Kalam's mantra given to us,
